Kelly_Michael_201512Mike Kelly, PhD serves as the University of South Carolina's Chief Data Officer (CDO), enabling analytics and data governance in support of the mission and strategic priorities of the university system’s eight institutions and Palmetto College. He advocates for development of a data-informed culture and promotes the value of data as a shared asset. His team champions improvements to the quality, integrity, availability, and stewardship of data for the betterment of academic programs, administrative services, operational efficiencies, employee experience, research, and student outcomes. 

Mike holds a PhD in Higher Education Administration, a master’s degree in Student Personnel, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Mike serves on the board of directors for Carolina Wildlife Center, which rescues, rehabilitates, and releases orphaned and injured wildlife. In his spare time Mike can often be found hiking mountains in search of waterfalls with his rescued coonhounds.

Ira Cohen, Chief Data Scientist & Co-Founder of AnodotIra Cohen Anodot is an industry-leading expert in the development and application of statistical machine learning for solving business challenges. He has extensive experience leading R&D teams in formulating technological innovations all the way through business validation and actual implementation. He has proven academic and industrial leadership in the areas of machine learning and statistical modeling and video analysis, specifically classification, semi-supervised learning, Bayesian Network classifiers and adaptive temporal modeling.

Prior to founding Anodot, Ira served as chief data scientist at Hewlett-Packard. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Ben Gurion University of the Negev and an MSc and PhD in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has also led research teams at UC Berkeley and Stanford University.

Eric Maloney Bio PicEric Maloney, Digital Transformation Strategist at Axis Group, has had a long and varied career in technology and business process improvement. He worked more than a decade as Consultant in Project and Program Management, primarily in the Financial Services and Insurance industries. He was the IT Manager of a global shipping company before joining Microsoft as a Global Account Technology Strategist serving Morgan Stanley, then as a Digital Transformation Lead for Financial Services and Insurance customers based in the New York area. He worked at Blue Prism at the Director of Strategy for Advisory Partners before recently joining Axis Group as a Digital Transformation Strategist.  Eric's goal is to educate and collaborate on the "art of the possible" in Intelligent Automation to achieve high value business outcomes and improve the future of work. He earned his PhD in History from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Ben Schein, Vice President Data Curiosity, Domo has 20 years of experience leading business intelligence (BI), analytics and finance teams. He is an expert in user adoption and implementing large-scale BI and analytics initiatives that deliver quantifiable business value. As Vice President of Data Curiosity, he works to spark the fire of data curiosity in enterprises large and small across the world. His regular focus includes exploring data curiosity and innovation with Domo’s 1,500+ customers and bringing the insights back to Domo’s product development teams.  Ben also leads Domo’s Strategic Architecture Group which looks at how to create data pipelines which are both resilient and efficient.  Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Strategy and Finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
