BuILD Methodology

Because quality is our foremost concern, Axis Group has developed its own proprietary project life-cycle methodology, reflecting our years of experience and recognized best practices.  We refer to this as our BuILD ( Business Intelligence Life-Cycle Delivery) Methodology.

We engage customers as partners in an iterative process that is designed to achieve measurable results in 30, 60 or 90 day time periods.  This approach reduces risk while providing a clear demonstration of value early on in the project.  If needed, we can create a Proof of Value within 30 days or less. The process begins with a discovery, or assessments, phase that includes both user interviews and system architecture reviews.

Our highly trained professionals - including Engagement and Project Leaders averaging 20 years of experience - work closely with key stakeholders to fully understand the organization's goals and detailed business and IT requirements.  

For many projects (for example, data warehousing), we design and build a business model that will be the basis for the new data model.  It is critical to define a structure that is aligned with the organization's business needs rather than simply reflecting the way information has been previously stored in various source systems.  The model must also be flexible enough to easily accommodate growth and changing needs. 

The next step is the creation of an architecture and design for the new system.  If information is being integrated from multiple sources, we perform a data quality assessment.  We provide all necessary data sourcing and integration services (ETL, EII, and EAI), as well as data quality and profiling services.

We continue with system development, quality assurance, and deployment.  Finally, we provide all the services required to roll out a new system to users, including documentation, training, support, and knowledge transfer to enable support to be transitioned to internal staff.
