In June, Axis Group was excited to sponsor the Gartner PPM & IT Governance Summit taking place in sunny San Diego, California. This opportunity allowed us to really showcase our COMPASS for PPM solution to key senior level executives at Global1000 companies. Sponsoring a Gartner level event has been a goal for Axis as we continue to expand the audience able to witness and hear the COMPASS story.
We were also excited to have three of our COMPASS customers join us at this event; CareFirst, Allscripts, and Harrah’s Entertainment. They were more than willing to share their stories on what makes the COMPASS the key ingredient to successfully running your PMO. Who better than your own customers to extol the benefits of your product to conference attendees?
Summit participants experienced an effective blend of new Gartner research presentations, case studies, peer-to-peer roundtables and workshops.
This year’s theme was, ‘Embracing uncertainty and change: The key to driving value in turbulent times’. People were highly engaged as turbulent times and the new normal appear to be here to stay. With budgets tight and expectations high, businesses look to PPM to deliver on business goals more than ever.
To succeed, PPM, PMO and IT governance leaders must become real change agents. Old tools, strategies, and practices need to be reevaluated. New ways of collaborating, new sourcing models, and a need to clearly measure and articulate the business value — all these and other changes are shaping a new reality that no PPM or IT governance leader can afford to ignore.
The Gartner Summit tackled all of this through an effective blend of new Gartner research presentations, case studies, peer-to-peer roundtables and workshops. It was a stimulating presentation and our Axis attendees gained valuable insight into the ever evolving PMO space.
