Albert J. Hughes
Principal - Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer

Albert  Hughes is responsible for the strategic vision, direction, and day-to-day leadership of the company.  Al founded Axis Group in 1996 with the vision of leveraging business intelligence technology to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions to the management and operational reporting needs of companies.  Under Al's direction, Axis has established a reputation as a leading professional services firm and has provided hundreds of successful  BI and information management solutions to Global 2000 and mid-sized organizations.  The highly talented team of Axis professionals delivers a full range of services -- from formulation of an enterprise information strategy, to design, development and implementation of solutions.   In 2002, Inc. Magazine and the Inc. 500 named Axis as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States.

Before founding Axis, Al was the Director of Professional Services for SND, a leading consulting firm, and was a consultant for Booz, Allen & Hamilton.  He has more than 20 years experience with computer technology and systems including business intelligence, database, web, networking, client/server and mainframe technologies.  Al has a B.A. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University.

Ranjan Sinha
Principal - Strategy, Product Development, Sales & Marketing

Ranjan Sinha joined Axis in 2003 and is responsible for leading Axis in strategy, sales and delivery.  Ranjan has a broad range of experience in managing and building organizations.  His vision and leadership along with practical expertise in development, project management, and large systems deployment have played a key role in driving growth at Axis.  An industry veteran, Ranjan has over 20 years of experience developing and managing business solutions that have utilized all areas of computing and communications technologies.

Prior to joining Axis, Ranjan was Managing Director of ePresence CRM Business Unit, which was acquired by Unisys in 2002.  Ranjan was also the co-founder of SND and helped position the organization as an industry leader of customer relationship management (CRM) and mobile systems for the pharmaceutical and consumer goods industries.

Ranjan was awarded a B.S. in Computer Science by Rutgers University.

Scott Reedy
Vice President - Business Intelligence & Information Management

Scott Reedy leads Axis Group's Business Intelligence and Information Management practices.  Since joining Axis in 1998, Scott has been involved in the sales, delivery, and support of business intelligence solutions.  Scott brings a combination of business and technical acumen to challenging client problems, ensuring project success.

Prior to joining Axis, Scott held positions in software development and IT management at McCamish Systems, LLC, a firm specializing in software and services to manage insurance products, and Homrich & Berg, a private wealth management firm.

Scott holds a B.S. in Management from The Georgia Institute of Technology with a concentration in Information Systems.  He is a member of the Technology Association of Georgia.

Mike Mahaney
Director - Project & Portfolio Management Solutions

Mike Mahaney joined Axis in 2006 and is responsible for the Project and Portfolio Solutions practice.  He has more than twenty years of experience in Project & Portfolio Management and has spent the last ten years supporting the evolution, implementation, and adoption of Project and Portfolio Management software tools.   His thought leadership in delivering value from PPM tools has resulted in a Project Portfolio Dashboard solution that has been received with great excitement from people who need to provide project visibility across the enterprise.

Before joining Axis, Mike was a Program Manager at Symbol Technologies and prior to that he was responsible for the PMO at Agere Systems.  Mike has served in international and domestic companies with strong exposure to IT, Manufacturing, M&A, Product Development, Engineering, and Construction and has a solid understanding the challenges that organizations face when managing projects across highly leveraged and matrixed organizations.

Mike graduated from the US Naval Academy with a B.S. in Mechancial Engineering and served as an officer in the US Navy Civil Engineer Corps for seven years.   He is also a Professional Engineer with PMP certification.
